    Writing Great Email Content

Coming up with email content on an ongoing basis can be challenging, especially when time is a factor. The execution of an excellent email content strategy relies heavily on the effectiveness of the content you write. If you are the person writing for your email marketing campagns, it would be wise t invest some time into strengthing your skills.

Good email marketing content helps your readers understand what you are offering them  and gives them clear ideas on how you want them respond. Before writing your first word of copy, you need to decide who your email marketing is going to be sent to. Picture the people on the list you are planning to use. Think about what their day is like. Think about what is important to them. What are they passionate about? How old are they? What products or services have they purchased from you in the past and why? The more you know about the audience you are writing for, the more targeted and relevant your content will be.

Target Market – SMS and Email Marketing

There is almost nothing harder than trying to sell something that no one wants. The effort necessary to convince someone that they need what you are offering is unbelievably high and usually doesn’t work. On the flip side, it is easy to sell something when people already want it. Think of a sidewalk vendor trying to sell hot chocolate in Phoenix, in July. No matter how good the hot cocoa is or what kind of discount is offered, it is just not what people want to buy. Change the product to ice cold water, and the equation changes. Sales happen easily, and the customers are happy. You need to do the same thing with your mobile campaigns. Offer people something they already want, and your campaign will be substantially more successful and markedly easier to implement.

Getting Started with Social Networking- SMS and Email Marketing

To start social networking, find what the most popular social networking sites are now and sign up. Check the Online Resource Guide for today’s popular sites because they change quickly. As I write this, facebook, Twitter and FriendFeed are the leading social networking sites in the U.S., but that can change almost overnight. Technology moves quickly and social networking is trendy. People hang out where everyone else is already hanging out, but this can change very quickly especially among younger participants.

Once you know where everyone is spending time, choose one or tow social networking sties and register yourself. Start participating. You are likely to find that one of these social networks will appeal to you more than others. That’s OK as long as you are confident that your customers are on that network. Explore all aspects of the service and try various things. Don’t worry that it won’t make sense to you at first. If you are new to this, it can see odd. That’s normal. Once you are fully involved, it will seem like part of your normal day.  Start with five minuets a day, and stick with it. Commit to trying it for at least a month or two.

How to Use Mobile Publicity – SMS and Email Marketing

The Internet has certainly changed the way that journalists research stories and find experts to interview. Instead of leaving journalist dependent upon time intensive investigative research or tracking down contact through publicists, the Internet puts the world’s experts and information right at their fingertips. Journalists also find the mobile web just as helpful. To businesses, this means one more opportunity for mobile marketing. Mobile publicity is not only a way to drive more traffic to your mobile sit; it builds up your publicity campaign.

Using a push campaign directly to journalist is not going to work. Mobile publicity is all about journalist being able to find an expert to interview on the mobile web or gathering information for a story while they are on the road. Having a mobile publicity campaign will be a veritable gold mine for folks who are experts on topics that have become breaking news. Reporter who need a quote quickly or an expert opinion will be likely to use the firs credible source they can find. Make sure you’re visible when a journalist is looking for you. This will mean being highly visible in mobile search engines and providing reporters with what they are looking for when they find you.

Online Video – Email and SMS Marketing

Marketing with YouTube and other online video sites is an art in itself, but it is a powerful one. It works well to create videos that tie into your mobile marketing campaign and promote them As a part of their text message campaign launch, PapaJohn’s created a text messaging versus ordering by phone showdown at the Mall of America on November 19, 2007. Fran Capo the world’s fasted talker, competed against Morgan Pozgar, the LG National Texting Champion, to see who could order a pizza faster. Capo called her order in; Pozgar sent in her order via text message. They posted the video of this at YouTube; in the video, you can see that people were signing up ion the spot for the online registration for text message ordering.

If you have a new mobile marketing campaign and want to show your customers how it works, you can create a video and post it on YouTube. Send the link to your customers via email. As k your audience to go to YouTube and search”name of video” to find for getting through the procedure. You’ll probably get more folks finding you this way.

Use a Service Provider – SMS and Email Marketing

There are affiliate service providers who will run your affiliate program end-to-end. The main benefits of using a n affiliate service provider is that they have all the systems and infrastructure in place, including an existing base of top-equality publishers ready to start promoting your products. Service providers will also use their extensive experience in combating affiliate fraud to help you minimize your risk of exposure. The downside to this option is that they’ll take their own cut of the commission, which will reduce your profit per sale. Think about this carefully though, as the cost of your time to manage the administrative aspects of a program can often exceed the fee affiliate programs will charge.

Which should you choose? All three options have their strengths and weaknesses, and which option you choose needs to come down to your technical resuources and experience, desired profit margins, and the amount of time you’re prepared to spend on settin up your affiliate program. Both building and buying your own system comes with a cretain amount of ongoing upkeep well beyond the setup. You’ll need to collect identifying paperworkl from each affiliate that joins. You’ll need to keep detailied records of all teh tranactiosna dn audit all the commissions. You’ll have to respond to all the customer service enquires from affiliates that want to know your policies, when you pay out, or how to use your user interface. You’ll need to keep on top of bugs and improvements. These costs can quickly add up.

So if you’re starting from scratch I recommend using a service provider. It’s the quickest, most hassle-free way to start running your program.

What to do when your Brand Equality is low? – SMS and Email Marketing

If your brand equality is low, it’s most likely for one of two reasons:

    • Your company is new and odes not have an established brand.
    • Your brand carries a sense of low value/trust

New companies have an interesting challenge. They have low brand equity simply because they are not known products. Whether a new company is a new player in an existing field or a new company introducing a new concept tot he world, it must follow the same strategies as an existing company that has low levels of equity with the consumer.

The bottom line is, if your brand equity is low, your approach to email must be very different than if it were sighter. Since you cannot rely on your email getting strong open rates, you will need to focus on establishing brand equity and a connection when people are opting in to your email programs. In this case, a combination of a preference center and a welcome email is critical. That it, on the web page where someone is about to provide an email address, you should clearly show the options for email types they have and the frequency of those messages; this will help rebuild trust and credibility. Following up with a welcome email that clearly restates the value proposition for agreeing to receive the emails and the expected frequency will also help increase response.

History – SMS and Email Marketing

Over the past ten years, email marketing has grown into one of the most flexible and in-demand applications and disciplines of the Internet economy. According to a study by comScore in August 2007, the worldwide web mail market includes more than half a billion people. The Radicati Group projected that there were nearly 1.2 billion hosted email in boxes worldwide as of October 2007, a number that is expected to rise to 1.6 billion by 2011. Email is still an emerging marketing medium, and the industry is young. It’s not too late to start leverage email, and you can use this to optimize your current practices.

Although few people might have expected it in the beginning, email is now an integrated part of hundreds of millions of lives. It is more than marketing; it is a link to family, friends and community. It is the lifeblood of the Internet.
